Wedding engagement session in Moselle

Today I’ll introduce you to Léa & Quentin, a friendly couple from Lille who got married last week in Marly, Moselle. In spite of the distance, we had managed to find a moment last month to shoot their engagement session at the Ballastière lake, near Hagondange. Without further ado, here are the photos !

A few guitar chords to begin with

We met at Lea’s parents house and Quentin had brought his guitar along for this special occasion. I immediately noticed the magnificent garden and its gigantic weeping willow. Very photogenic ! We therefore started the photo session in the garden. A few guitar chords and a song were enough for Léa & Quentin to forget about me and we got some great natural looking pictures. I really wanted to organise the first-look under this tree on their wedding day, but unfortunately it rained pretty heavily last week 🙁 I’ll tell you all about it in a future article.  There was also a pool, which we did not use as the temperature was not exactly suitable 😉

A walk around the Ballastière lake, Moselle

Once the song ended, we walked out for a stroll around the Ballastière lake. I had come here before, about two years ago for a wedding in Metz. We had done a few group shots there.

However I’ve had no time to really enjoy the place. This walk was a good opportunity to discover this beautiful park and lake, very suitable to wedding photography. It would have been nice to shoot slightly later in the evening in order to have a more beautiful light, although the sky was kind of cloudy so I managed to get some soft-looking pictures of Léa & Quentin. They enjoyed my blackboards game too 🙂

Soon I’ll try to share their wedding photos with you. A beautiful wedding that ended with a wonderful fireworks !
